Reworked Shopping Bag

We would normally use these polyethylene bags as sandbags in Japan, but in India, they are used to carry grain until they are torn and then they are recycled to use again. 

 By using recycled materials and hand made processes, PUEBCO imbues these objects with the feel of many lifetimes and a sense of history that makes each piece unique.

Since its founding in Japan in 2007, the brand has operated on the premise that the most interesting materials are those that already have a life behind them.  Puebco works with salvaged and reclaimed sources — recycled military tents and clothing, decommissioned mail bags, truck upholstery, and repurposed parachutes — redesigning them into garments, bags, rugs, and home goods and bringing new life to the materials. Items are made in small batches to keep overproduction minimal and each run intentional.
